TES5EDIT MOD ORGANIZER .ESP WRONG DIRECTORY INSTALL
Please seek installation guidance on either the mod pages or Google (GamerPoets on YouTube is a solid source.) A few are simple to install (like NifOptimizer), others are more complex, depending on your mod manager situation. Please note: this guide assumes you have installed the following tools correctly. It’s totally possible ( tutorial here), but I’ve never gotten it to work for me :( Your mileage may vary, be sure to thoroughly test with a new game you’re not invested in.ĭo note that I’m always adding on to this post, as I’m always learning new things! Originally I followed a guide, but it got taken off the Nexus ( WayBack Machine link), so I thought I’d post my method if anyone was curious or wanted to backport some things for themselves! It (mostly) just works.

you know, dont mix and match several different ways to manage your mods.So as someone whose computer can’t run Skyrim SE and wants all the mods I can get my grubby hands on, I’ve taken up backporting to some degree of success.

Nowhere it says that MO or a different mod manager should not install it nor makes it sense to install mods the manual way if someone is already using a mod manager setup (or planning to do so). That quote from the OP is wrong because he is a beginner and understood the instruction the wrong way:ĭO NOT extract the contents of the BSA file into your Data folder as loose files, or let your mod manager perform an equivalent function on the contents of the file.

"Extract the contents of Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.7z, into your Skyrim\Data folder". Quote from the developer also reads very clearly. "It also says not to let Mod Organizer do it". Originally posted by Bored Grumpy:I suggest using logic and give the OP a worthwhile answer without the steps that he needs to overthrow his whole mod config. Using a mod manager is optional not mandatory. The quote is from the post on Nexus by the developers of said mod. This destroys the whole purpose of having a mod manager setup without any reasons why one should do it. It is strongly recommended to use LOOT to manage the load order.ĭo not clean the file with TES5Edit! We have already cleaned it. This is very important if you use other mods. This is so that it loads first and thus doesn't undo other mods' changes. The BSL file is not necessary unless you have need to use the official archive.exe tool to examine the BSA contents.Ģ.) Check Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp in the Skyrim launcher if it isn't (it should already be after installation.)ģ.) Using the arrow buttons, move Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp so that it's directly beneath Dragonborn.esm.

There should be an ESP file, BSA file, INI file, and BSL file. The default location is C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\common\skyrim\data. Originally posted by Kusa:1.) Extract the contents of Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.7z, into your Skyrim\Data folder.
